Company Overview
The company was formed in 1990 at the very start of the current long running expansion and growth phase of the tanning industry. In many respects the company’s development of an interstate network of distributors, and focus on solariums as its core business has been responsible for the dramatic growth of the industry in Australia.
The company holds exclusive agreements with the Alisun solarium manufacturer Alisun Europe b.v. based in the Netherlands and with the manufacturer of Wolff UV tubes, Wolff System AG based in Switzerland for the importation and distribution of Alisun solariums Wolff UV tubes within Australia.

Julie founded Alisun Australia in 1990 following on a very successful career in the in information technology field particularly with respect to financial software and large sc scale training in its operation. No one in Australia has more hands on experience and background in the indoor tanning industry. Julie has also sat as a member of the committee of the Australian Standards Association which established and reviews the Australian standard for indoor tanning.
Michael holds degrees in law and economics and only 6 years ago came into the company on a day to day basis after spending the previous four years as company secretary and general counsel of a top fifty Australian public listed company with an annual turnover in excess of 8 billion dollars. Michael’s experience varies widely from stock market floats to negotiating major contracts.
